Sunday Worship, 10:55 a.m.
At Central Christian Church we want to help connect folks with our Living God. We do our best to make worship authentic, creative, and moving. We expect to encounter our Risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
You will see people of all ages in worship, some in jeans and some in suits. What you wear isn’t as important as just being yourself with us in worship. We’re a welcoming congregation and want you to feel at home.
We open our service with a warm welcome from one of the pastors. There will be joyful, heart-felt congregational singing, and prayer. Pastor Nelson will invite the kids down front for a short Children’s Sermon. Pastor Roxana will then take the kids downstairs for our exciting Christ-focused Children’s Church. It’s perfectly fine if you’d rather keep your kids with you in the sanctuary. We also have a nursery and toddler’s room available on the sanctuary level for your children. We have loving Christians who will take great care of your precious little ones.
Our worship continues with a time of prayer, congregational singing, and a beautiful anthem by our chancel choir. Pastor Thom preaches Bible-based sermons that help us get closer to the Lord and help us live more fully as Christians.
After the sermon there’s an opportunity to give an offering to the Lord and celebrate His presence with us through communion. We serve communion every week. The elements of bread and juice are offered to all Christians regardless of church affiliation. We believe Jesus Christ invites all disciples to His table.
We close by joining in praying the Lord’s Prayer and singing a closing song. We then invite everyone to the parlor for a time of fellowship over cookies, coffee, and lemonade.
